2023 Gewürztraminer

$35.00

Gewürztraminer
Spice, lychee, musk and rose water

This dry Gewürztraminer displays true varietal characteristics of spice, lychee, musk and rose water. These beautiful aromas combine with a lusciousness on the palate of peach nectar, red apple and lychee. This gives the overall mouth fill and weight, with balanced acidity to finish with. Contrary to popular belief, Gewürztraminer will cellar mid term making this a great example for aging. We recommend this wine with aromatic seafood, Asian or Thai style meals or just on it’s own!

Cargo Road Vineyard Established 1983 at 860 metres on the sheltered northern slopes of Mount Canobolas near Orange NSW. The vineyard is planted on deep red basalt soils allowing it to be unirrigated. Cargo Road Wines are all estate grown. We have believed in sustainability since 1983 and took this further with the introduction of Holistic Management in 2013 taking a regenerative approach to Viticulture and Agriculture, as we only custodians of the land.

13.0% Vol/Alc   |   750 ml    |   Standard drinks 7.7

Bottles available from different wine years. Make your choice or mix a box :-)

Cargo Road Wines is located at 860 meters above sea level, on the sheltered northern slopes of Mount Canobolas, Orange in Central Western NSW. The vineyard was taken over by a trio from quite different backgrounds in 1997. Now a successful 16 hectare vineyard with a range of red and white wines - our signature varieties are Gewurztraminer and Zinfandel.

The Cargo Road Wines Cellar Door is open for tastings 7 days a week, 11am to 5pm - online bookings are essential.
Tasting is $15 if booked on line or walk-in - This is not redeemable. Call us. Visit us. You can even stroll around the vineyard, have a picnic under eucalyptus trees, look in the art gallery, and enjoy a light meal or coffee in the café.
